Argentina | Change in the notification system and calculation of deadlines for trademark matters

The INPI´s Resolution P-063/2026 states that, as of March 1, 2026, notifications for matters processed by the Trademark Office will no longer be published in the Trademark Gazette: they will be sent electronically to the email address provided by the applicants in each case. As a consequence, the Trademark Gazette is only reserved for: 1) all final Resolutions issued by the Trademark Office, and 2) the Resolution declaring that the opposition was not maintained.

In all cases, the term for filing a response or an appeal will start to run the day after the notification is served on the electronic address. The 30-calendar-day suspension period prior to the commencement of the deadline for filing a response/appeal, will no longer apply for trademark matters.

With this new notification system, the INPI aims to streamline the registration process.
